Ingredients
- 12 Nutter Butter cookies
- ½ cup white melting chocolate
- 36 M&M Minis (for buttons)
- 24 regular M&M’s (for earmuffs)
- 3 Laffy Taffys (for scarves)
- 4 candy corns or 2 orange Starbursts (for noses)
- Black food marker or melted chocolate (for eyes and mouth)

Directions
- Roll each Laffy Taffy flat until about 1/16″ thick, then cut each piece lengthwise into four thin strips to form scarves.
- Cut each candy corn or Starburst into small triangular pieces to create carrot noses.
- Melt the white melting chocolate in the microwave: heat 45 seconds, stir, then heat in additional 15-second intervals and stir until smooth.
- Line a cutting board or cookie sheet with wax paper to catch drips and make cleanup easy.
- Dip each Nutter Butter cookie into the white chocolate, shaking off excess, then place on the prepared sheet.
- While the chocolate is still wet, press three M&M Minis down the center of the cookie as buttons.
- Use a small triangular candy for the nose and place three regular M&M’s near the top of the cookie as earmuffs (one on each side and one above the head), or arrange as you prefer.
- Put the sheet of decorated cookies in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
- If needed, carefully trim any excess hardened chocolate with a knife for a neater edge.
- Draw the eyes and mouth with a black food marker or use a toothpick dipped in melted chocolate to dot coal eyes and a smiling mouth.
- Wrap a Laffy Taffy scarf around each snowman and gently press where it overlaps so it adheres to the chocolate coating.
Tips & Notes
- Use high-quality melting chocolate for a smooth coating and clean finish. If you prefer, white chocolate chips can be used but may require added shortening to reach a smooth dipping consistency.
- Work quickly when placing candies so they stick while the coating is still wet.
- These cookies are best stored in a single layer in an airtight container in a cool place. Refrigeration helps keep the chocolate set but can cause condensation when removed—allow a few minutes at room temperature before serving.
- For a festive variation, add edible sprinkles or colored sugar to the wet chocolate before it sets.
